Aesthetic treatment in Pakistan is largely unregulated at the point of delivery. Salons offer injectables, unlicensed operators run lasers, and drips are given in living rooms. The gap between the best and worst providers is wider here than in almost any other service you will buy.
Before booking, establish who is performing the treatment and what their medical qualification is, what product or device is being used, whether you get a proper consultation before anything is done, and what happens if something goes wrong. A clinic that answers all four plainly is telling you a lot. Price should be the last thing you compare, not the first.
1. Who is actually performing the treatment?
Not who owns the clinic, and not whose face is on the advertising — who is holding the needle or the laser handpiece on the day.
For injectables in particular this is the single biggest determinant of your result. Ask directly, and ask what their medical qualification is.
If the answer is vague, that is itself an answer.
2. Is there a real consultation first?
A proper consultation assesses your skin, asks about your medical history and medications, and sometimes concludes that the treatment you asked for is not the right one.
A booking form is not a consultation. Neither is a price list sent over WhatsApp.
This matters most for laser and pigmentation, where treating without assessing skin type risks burns and worsened pigmentation.
3. What product or device is being used?
For injectables, ask the brand and grade. For laser, ask which platform and why that one for your skin.
You are entitled to see packaging before anything is injected. A clinic that hesitates at this question is one to leave.
Product grade is also the honest explanation for most price differences between clinics.
4. Why is this price so much lower?
There is always a reason. Diluted product, unverified sourcing, an inexperienced injector, or a device being run at settings that are cheap on time but risky on skin.
In aesthetics, the cheapest quote is rarely the best value, and correcting a bad outcome costs far more than the saving.
Compare what is included — product, sessions, review appointments — not just the headline number.
5. What does the aftercare look like?
Ask whether a review appointment is included, who you contact if something concerns you afterwards, and how quickly they respond.
Good clinics expect to see you again. It is part of the treatment, not an upsell.
6. Are the before-and-after photos real?
Look for consistent lighting, angle and expression between the two images. Wildly different lighting is the oldest trick there is.
Ask whether the photos are of their own patients. Stock or borrowed images are common.
Reviews on an independent platform, where the clinic cannot edit them, tell you more than testimonials on their own website.
7. What happens if it goes wrong?
Every treatment carries some risk, and a clinic that claims otherwise is not being straight with you.
Ask what the complication plan is, who manages it, and whether correction is included.
Willingness to discuss risk plainly is one of the strongest signals of a serious provider.
8. Does the clinic feel clinical?
Sterility, single-use needles, proper disposal and a clean treatment room are basics, not luxuries.
A beautiful reception area tells you about the budget, not the standards. Look past it to the treatment room.
Trust your instinct on this one. If it feels like a salon offering medical procedures, that is probably what it is.
