Most filler that looks obvious was not badly injected so much as over-injected. The treatments people admire and cannot identify are usually the conservative ones — which makes restraint the most underrated quality in an injector.
Dermal fillers add volume beneath the skin to restore fullness or reshape a feature — lips, cheeks, jawline and static lines. They work differently from Botox, which relaxes muscles rather than adding volume. Results are visible immediately and last months rather than permanently. At ASN Aesthetics, injectables run from PKR 25,000 to PKR 60,000 depending on product grade and area.
Fillers versus Botox
This is the most common confusion. Botox relaxes the muscles that create expression lines. Filler adds volume where volume has been lost or is wanted.
Lines visible only when you move are usually a Botox question. Hollowness, flatness or lines present at complete rest are usually a filler question.
Many treatment plans use both, for different areas, in the same appointment. Knowing which does what makes the consultation far more productive.
What each area involves
Lips are the most requested and the easiest to overdo. A conservative approach that respects your existing lip shape ages far better than volume for its own sake.
Cheeks restore mid-face support. Because the mid-face holds up everything below it, cheek work often improves the lower face indirectly — which surprises people who came in asking about their jawline.
Jawline and chin definition has become one of the most requested treatments for both men and women, and it typically needs more product than lips, which is reflected in the price.
How long it lasts
Fillers are not permanent. They break down gradually over months, with the timeframe depending on the product, the area and your own metabolism.
Areas that move a lot tend to break down faster than static ones. Nobody can promise you an exact duration.
The gradual fade is a feature rather than a flaw: it gives you a natural point to reassess rather than committing to something permanent.
What drives the price
Product grade is the main factor. At ASN Aesthetics, Chinese, Korean and American grade products are offered and priced accordingly, which is why the range spans PKR 25,000 to PKR 60,000.
The area and the amount of product needed matter too — a jawline typically requires more than lips.
Prices far below the market usually mean either an unverified product or an inexperienced injector, and both are visible in the outcome. Ask which product is being used and see the packaging.
Avoiding the overfilled look
Go conservatively and build gradually. Filler can always be added at a review; removing it is a separate procedure.
Ask for a treatment plan rather than a single-session fix, and expect a review appointment.
Ask who is injecting. At ASN Aesthetics, Dr Ahsan administers injectables himself rather than delegating them — and an injector willing to talk you out of more product is usually the one to trust.
